Not all eyes are alike, and it is now possible to measure the surface of the eye in minute detail with a "wavefront" scanner. The VISX Star Laser takes in this information, along with Dr. Kim's instructions defining the refractive goals of the procedure. When Dr. Kim performs the treatment, the instrument delivers a laser correction unique to that eye. Hence the name "CustomVue."
